This is how I organised the shots for my music video and website, I went through all my footage and noted the numbers of the shots I thought were usable and gave them a name to make them identifiable.
These shots were then downloaded to be edited.
These shots were then downloaded to be edited.
My first draft with editing the footage for my music video, I did not include all of the narratives, and I don't plan to use the LED light shots at the end, they are only there as a place holder. This is a very rough first draft.
Note: there is a bit of just black at the end due to not having enough master shot, but this will be filled in with narrative shots later on.
I am aware that the master track has moments when the camera moves or isn't steady so I have watched the video and noted areas that need to be edited over with footage of narratives.
Narrative 1:
INTERVIEWER: I’m here with Silver Lining, hi guys!
BAND: Hi!
INTERVIEWER: Could you guys just tell us a bit about why you paired up with the Flora Project for the release of the music video for your single ‘Daydream Believer’?
MILLY: Well, you know we’ve all been through our own issues, and we just want to support a charity that we believe has a good cause.
EVAN: Yeah, because they specialise in supporting all types of people with loads of different mental health issues, young or old they can help anyone.
PURNOOR: And we just like flowers really. I joke but we are giving 50% of the money we make to the Flora Project, so watch the video!
This will be the rough script used for the 30 second audio visual element of my website and is an interview with the band about their link with the fictional mental health charity. These words will not be exactly the ones used in the video however I just thought it help my actors get a rough idea of what to say.
Obviously giving someone a flower is not going to solve a mental health problem, however the flowers represent finding the happiness in life so have chosen that.
The flower head is an intertextual reference to the Pokemon games, Pokemon Red and Blue. Specifically a reference to one of the 'Gym Leaders' 'Gym Badges' that similarly represents a flower as it is the 'Grass Gym'. I made this reference to try and gratify a niche audience who would recognise and bring the meaning of flowers and grass over to my logo.

I plan to use an ensemble cast of actors of different genders, ethnicities, ages and sexualities, to all be 'Jean' as it is a gender neutral name so it makes sense for everyone to be 'Jean'
I plan to have a shot(s) of each actor looking sad or tired, then have them being given a flower to cheer them up, and then a shot(s) of them looking happy or cheerful.
I experimented with the camera to see if a video would run for three minutes. Whilst shooting I also experimented with some possible close up camera shots I could have for when I film my actual video. So I got my friend to lip-sync to the song and dance a little to see how I could incorporate close up shots of my performers, and make them appear 'starlike'. I plan to use lots of close up shots to make my video conventional and adhere to Goodwins theory.
The shots at the start are very 'shakey' as originally I was unsure of what to film but became sure later on in the video.
